About

This journey has been shaped by faith, not formulas. We’ve stayed anchored in our values and committed to work that brings lasting fruit. What began as a small act of obedience has grown into something larger than we imagined. We honour the journey so far, and we step forward with hope for what God is still doing.

What sets us apart isn’t a system or a strategy, but the heart behind it. We move slowly enough to listen, to understand people’s stories, and to act with purpose at every step.

Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves.”
Philippians 2:3

Bad Boy Turned Good was never about building a name or a platform. It began and continues with a commitment to put people first, to step into hard places with humility, and to serve where hope feels thin.

I’m an Irish coach and pastor who believes faith belongs in real life, not at a distance from it. Much of my work has involved rolling up my sleeves and stepping into complex, often messy situations, walking alongside young people who have lost direction, helping them rediscover hope, purpose, and a better way forward.

In 2013, that work came into the public eye when Bad Boy Turned Good was featured on RTÉ’s The Secret Millionaire. While the attention was unexpected, it simply shone a light on what had already been happening quietly for years: mentoring, listening, training, and helping people learn how to channel their strength toward something life-giving.

That same heart carries into the airwaves through The Punching Pastor on CRY104FM, a weekly space for honest conversation about life, faith, struggle, and healing. It’s not about having all the answers, but about asking the right questions and discovering what it means to build something better together.

This journey has also taken me beyond Ireland into communities in Cambodia, Laos, and Kenya , where I’ve shared meals, trained emerging leaders, and learned deeply from the people I’ve met. I don’t go as an expert with a script. I go to listen, to learn, and to walk alongside others in the shared work of community and faith.

Every place, every conversation, every story has shaped this movement. At its core, Bad Boy Turned Good is about living the Gospel in practical ways building community, breaking bread, and pointing consistently to the hope and transforming love of Jesus.

This isn’t polished. It isn’t tidy.
It’s real. It’s relational. It’s ongoing.

Welcome to the journey.
Let’s grow.
Let’s serve.
And let’s discover what faith can do — together…. Ross B
